At Black Hills Workshop, located in Rapid City, SD, we value quality and providing quality services to those we support. Our Resource and Support Department works with each department to meet their resource and training needs and also offers this training to the families of the people we support. Below is a list of available training:

Training and mentoring with new support staff

  • Support Staff Coverage (leave of absence, maternity leave, etc.)
  • Coordinate educational events (Native American cultural month, dual sensory loss, self advocacy conference, etc.)
  • Teaching public transportation
  • Developing Leadership skills and opportunities for leadership participation with persons supported
  • Accident reconstruction
  • Design training based on department specific needs
