| Job #01760 - Community Transitions - Full Time - Mental Health Counselor Description: The Counselor’s purpose is to improve the mental health of individuals in the program. This includes assisting individuals and/or their family members with the adjustment to living with a brain injury or a person who has a brain injury. The Counselor is also responsible for developing and maintaining counseling group curriculum as well as monitoring its effectiveness. As an interdisciplinary team member, the counselor is responsible for the social-emotional aspects of the individuals we serve. Location: Community Transitions Date Opened: 07/27/2010 Date Closed: Open Until Filled Qualifications: Masters Degree in Counseling or related field from an accredited college. LPC or LPC-MH preferred. Experience working with people with brain injury or other disabilities preferred. Must have excellent communication skills, good organizational skills, a positive personality, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Valid driver's license required.
