Everybody's route to independent living is unique. We assist people to improve skill level, expand socialization, and plan for the future
as they take on the responsibilities involved in each of the below options.
Some individuals may choose to continue living in their own family home. For example, an individual still in high school can
attend classes and live at home, while Community Support Services staff provide community living and vocational training in preparation for a move to a more independent living situation.
Individuals may decide to live in a family-like home, also referred to as a group home, where they have their own bedroom, but
share the kitchen, bathrooms, and living area. A home manager who lives on-site and instructors support people as they learn social and daily living skills such as cooking, housekeeping, budgeting, and
shopping.
