Employment Resources is committed to assisting people who have disabilities or other barriers to find and maintain meaningful employment. It is a resource for individuals requesting employment both within Black Hills Workshop and in the community. They provide training and supports tailored to both the individual's and the employer's needs.

Individuals are evaluated on job skills, ability to follow instructions, general aptitude and relationship skills. Using this information, employment specialists contact prospective employers and assist individuals with job applications and interviews. The specialists analyze the jobs to determine what reasonable accommodations need to be made for various disabilities. They are also available to assist in the training for the skills needed to perform the essential functions of the job.
